According to the findings from a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41598-022-22462-z\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">study<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> published in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scientific Reports<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2022, thyroid cancer survivors are more likely to develop coronary heart disease compared to the general population with no history of thyroid cancer.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In another <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ascopubs.org\/doi\/10.1200\/JCO.2013.49.1043?url_ver=Z39.88-2003&amp;rfr_id=ori:rid:crossref.org&amp;rfr_dat=cr_pub%20%200pubmed\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">study<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> published in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Journal of Clinical Oncology<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the researchers found that suppressive thyroid hormone therapy may have long-term cardiovascular effects in thyroid cancer survivors. The findings from this study point to a link between lower TSH levels and an increased risk of cardiovascular mortality.
